Rob Font is eagerly anticipating an electrifying showdown with Deiveson Figueiredo.

Font (20-7 MMA, 10-6 UFC) is set to meet Figueiredo (21-3-1 MMA, 10-3-1 UFC) in a highly anticipated bantamweight clash on December 2 at a UFC Fight Night event, scheduled to take place in Austin, Texas.

Font's wish to welcome former UFC flyweight champion Figueiredo to the 135-pound division has been granted, adding another marquee name to his impressive resume.

"Another three-round fight, another war, another ex-champion, another big fight, so I'm excited," Font expressed to MMA Junkie Radio. "We asked for this fight after the Adrian Yanez fight and from what I heard, he was still staying at 125, but then I guess he's coming back up."

Recognizing the challenge that lies ahead, Font acknowledges that his upcoming bout won't be an easy task. Figueiredo has showcased his dominance with 17 finishes out of his 21 professional wins, utilizing both knockouts and submissions.

"He's vicious," Font acknowledged. "He has that Brazilian, I'm coming to knock your head off kind of style, solid guillotine, ex-champion, back-to-back wars. He's tough. It's not an easy fight at all. Obviously none of these fights are. Big name, talks a lot of sh*t."

As Figueiredo ventures into uncharted waters at 135 pounds, Font hopes to exploit any potential difficulties he may face in making adjustments.

"I hope so," Font said optimistically. "I think the range is going to be different, I'm assuming he's going to be a little quicker, I got to adapt to that too. I think I'm going to be a lot longer than him, a lot quicker than him, a little more polished with the striking.

"I assume he's going to be shooting. I assume he's going to try and chop my leg down. I think he's going to have to figure his way out. I've just got to make sure I don't let him get his rhythm going in that first round, especially leading into that second round."
