UFC bantamweight contender Rob Font, has his sights set on derailing Adrian Yanez's ascent at UFC 287 in Miami. The two fighters are set to face off in a highly anticipated bantamweight main card bout on April 8th.

Font is eager to regain momentum in the division with his most recent victory coming against former UFC champion Cody Garbrandt in May of 2021. Known for his fierce striking abilities, Font is looking to not only secure a win against the surging Yanez but also secure his first submission victory in nearly six years.

In an exclusive interview with MMA News, Font explained that he plans to earn his first submission victory in nearly six years and give Adrian Yanez a reality check at UFC 287.

“I want to get a submission under my belt, I haven't gotten one in a while," Font told MMA News. "I wanna club and sub this guy. Bang, hit with a couple punches, put him down. But I definitely want to get back to a couple of submissions here and there."

Yanez, who has not lost a fight since joining the UFC in 2020, is undoubtedly a formidable opponent. He has defeated the likes of Tony Kelley and Davey Grant on his way to being #12 in the rankings, but Rob Font is unlike anyone he’s faced so far.

Font has fought some of the top bantamweights in the UFC, and his experience and talent make him a significant obstacle for Yanez to overcome if he wants to continue his ascent.

A determined Rob Font is ready to put the bantamweight division on notice in this fight. If he secures a victory against Yanez at UFC 287, he will be one step closer to achieving his goal of fighting for the bantamweight title.
